Last week I Aventura Mall invited me La Vie En Rosé event to celebrate the unveiling of the iconic LOVE sculpture by late artist, Robert Indiana, and I have to admit, I was pretty excited about the event.
I’ve never been to New York, but one my favorite things I’ve seen on photos is the amazing LOVE sculpture, and what I love about it is the contrast of this sweet amazing word against the background of the toughest city in the world. It’s one of the places I hope to visit when I get the chance to go to NY and having one so close to home makes me so happy!
The event was above and beyond my expectations, they had EVERYTHING! From perfume and hand creams ( rose scented, my personal favorite) to love potions ( a fun and strong cocktail) a candy bar provided by Sugarfina, let’s face it, I pretty much spent the entire night at the chocolate bar eating it all!
My absolute favorite part of the events was the Interactive stations.
One of them was a poet station, poetry is just a form of art that in my popping is getting lost, and finding the opportunity to witness a poet come up with a poem in person, watching her thought process, the inspiration hitting her and then the freedom to put those words into paper was really special. At this station you gave the writer a word and she wrote a whole poem for you based on that one word, it was so unique, and honestly a pretty good Valentine's gift idea!.
My other favorite was this artist creating fashion Illustrations inspired by the guests and their outfits, again, watching an Artist creating a personalize image of you in just a couple of minutes is pretty cool, have to admit, it made me want to be able to draw , but there's just no way, i.m not talented at all, lol. My husband and I got one and it’s already framed and found a nice little home on my nightstand. She really is incredible, her Instagram handle if you are interested is @Gissij
It really was a great night and it makes me happy to see an Iconic place like Aventura Mall taking a part in the Artistic life of Miami, can't wait to see whatelse they add to their collection.
